Ahhh…just returned from a wonderful business trip/vacation in North Carolina. I am flat out enamored with that state.
Even though John and I were traveling during an unseasonable blizzard, we packed warm gear. So we were pretty ready for the 30 degree temps and winds.

Then it was playtime. We went to my old stomping grounds in Chapel Hill. Can I just tell you how magical that sleepy little college town is? It is quite literally where I learned how to be a strong, independent woman. I put myself through Journalism School by working three jobs and being a full-time student.

How to Use a Podcast to Maximize SEO

My guess is you’re reading this article for marketing advice. Well this one is a keeper because what I’m about to share with you can boost your rankings in the search engines…massively.
I’m going to share with you a strategy I just learned in 2016 using your podcast. And I’m going to use my new business, www.GingerQuinn.com as the case study.
During the middle of this month I’m starting a podcast in the relationship niche called, Revive Your Romance.
First marketing lesson for you…when you name your podcast, make sure it makes sense on the first pass what it is about. Clever names don’t necessarily catch on in the podcast world. It needs to be short and snappy and informative.
What’s cool about starting a podcast is that I’m forced to create content on a schedule. Did you get the important words in that sentence? They are FORCED, CREATE CONTENT and SCHEDULE.
Creating content for most of us isn’t really difficult, but if you’re anything like me, you’ll procrastinate. You’ll vacuum. You’ll wash your car. You’ll pick up dog poo. Anything to avoid creating the massive amount of content required by today’s info-hungry audience.
So here’s the process…
- Write 3 related topics on an index card.
- Have the 3 topics transcribed into 3 different articles.
- Post one article on your blog then wait 24 hours.
- Next post your video on You Tube.
- Separate out the audio and post on SoundCloud and iTunes.
- Post your article on Facebook Notes.
- Post your article on LinkedIn Pulse.
- Two days later, repeat for the next article.
- Create your next 3-topic podcast.Video record yourself talking about each topic.
I can’t begin to tell you how powerful this process is potentially. And let me be honest for second here and let you know I was hesitant to share this advice BECAUSE I’m not sure I want my competition getting hold of this strategy. But the truth is most people won’t implement it, despite me telling you how bulletproof this thing is. I’ll keep you posted on how it works for Ginger. Please keep me posted on how it works for you.
